Germania Place // Chicago Wedding Venue
Designed in 1888 by the architectural firm Addison & Fielder, and listed with the National Registry of Historic Buildings Germania Place boasts two palatial ballrooms with soaring 50’ ceilings, inset gold domes, original crystal chandeliers, 20 foot arched windows, and an ornate Victorian architecture that, like a museum, must be seen to be appreciated. We also feature two built in bars, a separate sun-drenched solarium, our 110 year old antique William Knabe Grand Piano, and a private dressing suite with bathroom.
The centerpiece of the space, and adorning the entrance to the Grand Ballroom, is our priceless 15’ stained glass portrait, which was designed in Heidelberg, Germany, and first exhibited at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.
