Why I Love Being a Chicago Photographer
I love being a photographer in Chicago. Chicago may not have huge mountains or old forests but we have THE best skyline, EVER. Yes, even better than New York City. Maybe I’m a little biased, but I don’t care. It’s a shame the Chicago Spire never finished (or started) construction – would have been a fine addition to our skyline.
Chicago has some amazing places to consider for your engagement or wedding photos. Even if you’re here for vacation, there are great places to see, once you get through super touristy areas like Navy Pier, the Bean at Millennium Park, ect.
Sunrises over the lake are beyond compare
The Chicago bridges are totally unique and have a super rich history
Chicago winters can be truly EPIC – I know this one was…
There’s always a new cafe to check out
The EL tracks are totally wicked! Loud, but cool!
The skyline from North Avenue Beach!
On the opposite side, we have the skyline from the Planetarium – just as epic of a view!
While theaters are disappearing all over the world – Chicago’s theatre scene is thriving!
The bridge at Lincoln Park Zoo is a sweet make-out point!
And on a day when the weather actually cooperates – you feel like you can walk on clouds…
There’s so much more I could go on and on for days… If your wedding and engagement photographer is anything like me, he/she will have TONS of awesome suggestions for locations to make your session or wedding unique, personal and memorable….or just hire me!
Cheers,
Peter
