Alex and Jim are the kind of people who remind you why you became a photographer…
If you know them, then I don’t have to tell you they are the kind of people you want to be around. The kind of people who genuinely listen when you talk. The kind of people who are thankful for everyone around them. The kind of people who make you want to be better.
They love with a love that is more than love. They love with a love that starts with ‘like’, and ‘like’ is more important. Love is amazing, love is powerful but love also evolves and changes over time. Not ‘like’…’like’ stays the same no matter how long you’ve been married.’Like’ leads to great conversation. ‘Like’ leads to kindness. And most importantly, ‘like’ leads to respect…only best friends have ‘like’.
I could tell instantly that Alex and Jim are true and honest best friends. You can see it in the way they talk to each other, they way they carry themselves, the way they hold hands and even in the way they laugh during engagement photos when they have to get super super super close to each other. They are the quintessential definition of ‘couple goals’.
I saw all this in their relationship as we explored Chicago for their engagement session – then we had dinner and talked for 2 hours – and on my way home I remembered why I became a wedding photographer. They brought me back after a whirlwind of a year. And it feels great to be here again!
