Johanna and Drew wanted some amazing Chicago engagement photos so naturally we settled on Lincoln Park. I absolutely love shooting engagement sessions in Lincoln Park because of the incredible versatility in that neighborhood – there are parks, brownstones, cobble stone streets and the beach is near by. So we explored some of Lincoln Parks alleyways – that’s always an awesome and unexpected adventure.
What struck me about Johanna right away is how much she looks like Scarlett Johansen – the resemblance is definitely there. She is also very soft spoken, funny and incredibly smart. The kind of smart which would intimidate most guys but not Drew. Drew is very sharp and dapper. (and he stopped Johanna from walking right into a giant bush during our session) He’s also incredibly involved in planning their wedding – which is such a breath of fresh air because most grooms are very disengaged during the entire time. We chatted and laughed the entire session – no awkward silence here folks. I had a blast, hope they did too.
I could quickly see why these two are together. They’re simply awesome! Cheers!
