I recently had the pleasure of hanging out with Natalie and Alan for a few hours. One of the reasons I love engagement sessions is because it lets me get to know the couple and vice versa. Natalie + Alan have an amazing sense of style, both are very funny, witty, well spoken and utterly head over heals for each other! We got along perfectly and they had no trouble at all connecting in front of my camera. As we explored North Avenue Beach, we talked about their wedding plans and it was awesome to hear that pretty much everything is set – I love couples who are ahead of the curve, it makes everything far less stressful. After the beach, they did a quick outfit change and we headed to the iconic Chicago bridges. Not even the near death experience with a Porsche while crossing LaSalle street soured our session. We finished off the session with some Beer/Wine + Belgian fries on the Chicago Riverwalk. Cheers to my new friends Natalie and Alan! I seriously cannot wait to shoot their wedding next year! Here’s some of my favorite frames, enjoy!
(Cool fact, Alan’s company provided the galvanized steel for the riverwalk itself – pretty cool eh?)
