Usually the only reason photographers write along with showing their images is for SEO. (Search engine optimization). It’s also in the title and the url. I try to use this text not only to push that I’m a Chicago engagement photographer (see, SEO again) but to think about the time spent with my couples.
Tamara and Rob truly belong in Chicago. Not in California. That’s number one.
They are incredibly down to earth and so easy to talk to. That’s number two. This makes the session much more interesting for me. We spent the morning together exploring the loop and Wicker Park and we talked about everything. From their past, to their future, my family, their family – who was also with them on their visit to Chicago – work, life and the guy who kicked us off the property where we were shooting. He ruined a perfectly good shot – thanks for nothing security guy!
The thing is, they wanted something a bit different. A Wes Anderson (not Wes Craven) inspired photo session – this falls in line with exactly what I do – though I never really describe my work as Wes Anderson like – but we do share a lot of the same themes – color, symmetry, etc. This request, to be different and weird, always gives me the chance to try new things and have fun and that’s what we did. We got weird and it was fun! Enjoy some photos of Tamara and Rob – they really are wonderful people!
