Chicago Wedding Photographers // Christine + Shane

January 27, 2017

Christine and Shane had a beautiful intimate wedding on the top of their building in wicker Park, Chicago. The reception followed at the amazing Velvet Hour with some wicked tunes being played on actual vinyl – yes the DJ used vinyl and it was awesome!

When I arrived with my 2nd shooter (Vic), Shane was ironing his shirt and Christine was taking care of last minute details. Right away I noticed how awesome their house was. Full of vintage record players, photos and treasures from their travels. Family members started to arrive after they got dressed and everything was in full motion. If you followed the stairs to the roof, you’d see a gorgeous ceremony setup where they got married. It drizzled for most of the ceremony so everything was a tad wet, but it really didn’t matter. The roof was soon packed with their closest friends and family. Christine and Shane were soon married overlooking the amazing Chicago skyline.

Right after we took the subway to Violet Hour and the reception was absolutely epic. The speeches were incredibly touching and heartfelt. Here I realized exactly how selfless and caring Shane and Christine really were. We partied the night away and ended the party at about 1am. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as we did creating them. Cheers!
