Spectacular – spectacular is the only way to categorize Kate + Royce’s luxurious wedding at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. I mean everything at the Drake is absolutely stunning so the photos come out magical. The gold coast room in particular is breathtaking with the columns being over 60 feet tall. A single long dinner table was set up for all the guests in the middle of the room – it was the epitome of elegance.
One thing that stood out to me at the Drake was the quality of the drapes. I even snapped a photo – check it out below. Amazing drapery!
Surrounded by friends and family Kate and Royce tied the knot in a very intimate ceremony officiated by an uncle. It was very touching and heartwarming. Both Kate and Royce are exceptionally wonderful people and I’m happy they’ve moved back to Chicago – though I think their Colorado friends would disagree a bit.
The temperature outside was pretty cold but we braved the wind and took some photos around Chicago. With the river frozen everything looked like a wonderland. Once we got inside, everyone partied the night away to the amazing sounds of the TVK Orchestra – I mean these guys are awesome! Everyone was commenting how amazing the music was.
