One of the things I strive to bring to the table as a wedding photographer in Chicago is brand. When couples hire me, they don’t just get pretty pictures – they can get that almost anywhere – my couples get me. The entire me, the me that gives 110%. Always. A huge part of my brand is establishing meaningful relationships with my couples, usually over drinks. Even at the first meeting at Soho, there’s drinks. (No meetings at coffee shops.) These relationships allow me to document my couples weddings with true authenticity and this is why I feel so close to Lili and Danny. Authenticity is part of my brand.
So let me tell you about Lili and Danny – they are both smart, funny, sweet, witty, charming, fun and love to party. We’ve had drinks a few times already and there’s more to come. I love hanging out with them – we act as if we’ve known each other our whole lives and maybe that says something about them and how welcoming they are. You could feel the same welcoming aura at their wedding – it was incredible.
Their wedding was on a whole other level. Intimate and low lit – the atmosphere was just serene the entire night. The speeches were on point and I mention this because my company, Red+Olive – the best wedding films in Chicago – handled the video that night and speeches are important. It’s part of what makes a good film great. The personalized vows Danny and Lili wrote were incredible – not a dry eye in the house! The party was amazing and the music was provided by TVK – they ALWAYS rock!!! Talk about partying all night long!! The reception photos below are epic! I’ve shot a few weddings at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago and I have to say that Chris from the Intercon staff is incredible to work with. He makes everything so absolutely easy, fun and collaborative. Yup, this is turning into a testimonial – haha. This was also my chance to reunite with Kirsty from Lola Productions, who is always on top of her game and this time even more so. I even got to see the wonderful Dawn Bliss during the girls prep – she’s one of Chicago’s premiere makeup artists. All in all it was a wonderful day.
