Chicago Wedding Photographer + Storyteller
I'm Peter Gubernat, and I'm a Chicago wedding photographer - a great blend of professional and personal. It's about being real and capturing real moments of friends and family. I love couples who love to love and love life. The same couples who see their wedding as an opportunity to document something awesome & create art! The photos you see on this website are some of my absolute favorites and I hope you enjoy exploring them. I've photographed a lot of weddings in Chicago and I approach each one as a storyteller and focus on photographing moments, not just people. I know how important capturing candid moments is, as well as those traditional photos (aka family formals). Both are great and require a unique approach, that's why hiring a photographer like me will make all the difference in your wedding photos.

The right mix of professional and personal. I can be serious or goofy and strike up a conversation to make everyone comfortable. I’m outstanding at making sure everyone and everything important is photographed. I always tell a story – I try to create powerful and emotional images that bring you to that moment each and every time. I know how important candid moments are but also love traditional photos (family formals) because grandmas love to see you smile. It’s about being real and having real moments photographed.
When you’re having fun and are at your best, surrounded by friends and family; this is my time to be a storyteller and to document your wedding. This is my time to give you images that no one else can.

Chicago Wedding Photographers & Venues
I have photographed a lot of wedding in Chicago, some of the venues include: Holy Name Cathedral, Arrowhead Golf Club, Germania Place, Promontory Point, Osteria Via Stato, City View Loft, The Intercontinental Hotel, The Chicago History Museum, and The Columbus Park Refectory. For me, personally, I love walking into a brand new venue and solving the lighting challenges which the venue offers. This allows me to be pretty creative and give my couples incredible images that no one else will take!
